Doing good deeds by having fun...
one of Bouchercon's most honored traditions is our support of local charities. This year, we're
supporting three very deserving organizations. We'll have more details soon on ways and means....
- San Francisco Friends of the Library
This non-profit benefits the main and branch libraries of San Francisco, and we do love our libraries.
- 826 Valencia
This organization
targets youth ages 6-18 to help improve writing skills and also
targets the corresponding teacher groups to support their efforts to drive student interest in the literary arts.
Donations of both money and equipment are sought.
We're very pleased that some of the participants in the 826 Valencia program will be joining us one day
during Bouchercon. Details to come...
- Casa de las Madres
This organization is San Francisco's leading voice for abused women,
teens and their children. While not directly targeting the homeless and the hungry,
it addresses violence in the home which can lead to two social sufferings. Teen and children's programs are included.
